Bus.Trainers

Ongoing project

The main thrust of the BuS.Trainers project is to overcome the mismatch in energy efficiency (EE) and renewable energy sources (RES) skills in the construction industry, with the aim of boosting competitiveness in the sector. The project targets vocational teachers and intends to foster the competencies required to address the weak link between education and green innovation in the sector. This approach stems from the crucial role of VET trainers in the transfer of knowledge to current and future workforce in the sector.

Eneplan

Completed project

The ENEPLAN project aims at creating interdisciplinary and ICT-based educational approaches in Higher Education on energy planning and RES development in Mediterranean areas. The project develops innovative tools for teaching and learning with the objective to increase the capacities of future professionals through the integration of different disciplines (spatial planning, environment, engineering, landscape) and fostering collaboration with research and business activities in the RES sector – thus keeping up with its rapid technological innovation.

EleCTra

Completed project

The EleCTra project would like to test own innovative model, to give useful solutions to accessibility needs of citizens (house-work, house-school, house-keeping transfers,…) that cannot be fully solved by public transport local systems. For this reason, the project includes 3 pilot actions (WP5-Implementation), that will be realized in Genoa, Florence and Barcelona, with some similar characteristics and a high scooters use. The tested model by experimentation phase will be suitable to transfer to other countries and cities, that have different characteristics too. The pilot actions includes a supply of 90 electric scooters and full model start-up (signs, parking system, users services and facilities).

SEOP

Completed project

Energy is essential for Europe to function. But the days of cheap energy for Europe seem to be over. The challenges of climate change, increasing import dependence and higher energy prices are faced by all EU members. It is therefore important that European citizens understand the political, social and environmental implications of energy consumption and dedicate their efforts to consume energy more rationally.

CRIM-SAFRI

Completed project

CRIM-SAFRI’s general objective of the project idea is to create a research centre for environmental sustainability  and renewable energy sources for the Mediterranean, involving the territories of Sicily and Malta. The  Centre will support local authorities, consortia and networks of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the implementation of strategies for Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP) according  to COM (2008) 397 regarding Directive 2009/125/EC on energy-related products and the European climate change and energy policy (20-20-20 strategy).

EcoRegions

Completed project

The project will seek to facilitate the implementation of 11 cases of Good Practice leading to reduced environmental impact. The identified cases of Good Practice include sustainable energy (biomass, wind, biofuels, photovoltaic, geothermal energy); measurement and monitoring systems; optimization of industrial processes; low carbon vehicles; green chemistry; eco-housing; recycling and valorising wastes; storage of electric energy / batteries; valorisation of CO2.

GreenITNet

Completed project

ICT can contribute to the reduction of energy consumption and CO2 emissions in almost all sectors of society. It has been estimated that “smart” deployment of ICT can decrease the use of electricity by a factor 5 or more. GreenITNet will analyse policies and policy instruments to explore, develop and implement Green IT.
